The Summit to Sea Expedition: 9-Day Kilimanjaro to Indian Ocean Cycling Tour

Embark on the ultimate Tanzanian odyssey with Nature Navigators. This 330-kilometer journey is a breathtaking transition through the country's most iconic landscapes—from the alpine shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro, through the arid Maasai savannahs and ancient mountain ranges, finally reaching the turquoise waters and white sands of the Indian Ocean. This is more than a cycling tour; it is a cross-section of East African life, culture, and wildlife.

Expedition Highlights

  • Landscape Diversity: Ride from high-altitude wheat plantations to coastal palm groves.
  • Cultural Immersion: Experience authentic stays in Maasai traditional villages and Chagga heartlands.
  • Wildlife Frontiers: Cycle through Saadani—the only park where the bush meets the beach—and explore Mkomazi's rhino sanctuary.
  • Historical Discovery: Explore the 150-million-year-old Amboni Caves and the colonial ruins of Pangani and Bagamoyo.
  • Tropical Finish: Celebrate your 330 km achievement with a seafood feast on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
